Its a PASS on C + E with a Clean Sheet , NO minors 
Went for my C+E training, starting last Monday 
and went for test on Thursday…Well, I am absolutely on cloud nine -STILL 
Earlier this year having passed my Cat C with Peter Smythes Transport Training, I decided to return back there to do my C+E training & test after having excellent training there with great results. It was great to see everybody again & the welcome warm & more welcoming than the weather (with the rain hammering down 
) . Peter himself started the drive giving me a chance to take awareness of what I needed to achieve , & after a short while I took over in the drivers seat & in a short time I felt realy comfortable with the handling of the vehicle . As the time rolled on I was shown how to couple & uncouple the trailer, & despite my efforts to hold onto the red line it (when disconnecting it), it still managed to shoot backwards straight through my hands at such a speed it would have been a match for the ‘dummy rabbit on the dog track’ 
So after that I resorted to wearing my extra grippy gloves 
I also found how it pays to have. Your weetabix in the morning…if only to push the ‘lines’ back on 
but soon got the hang of it…then there was no stopping me As the time rolled on I felt ready to tackle on any road situation that was thrown at me without being phased by anything, & when routes were sugested to me, I would very often reply…“bring it on”!! 
such had my confidence grown, with the help of an expert trainer with many years of experience. I am not a nervous driver, nor am I overconfident either. But I was very nervous of the ‘Test’ itself & the thought of having a stranger in my cab (The Examiner),scruitinizing & marking bits of paper, I found quite nerve recking -even though he had a job to do 
It had been quite a number of years since I had reversed anything quite as long as the truck + trailer, but with Peter talking me through the first reverse, it went back into the ‘garage’ without too much difficulty After I was reversing back -practising , sometimes it was good once or twice, here & there ,it would go Wiggley 
then on other occasions it would go quite well untill eventually the wiggle got less. On the day, with great determination ,it came back real tidy & the reverse was done & put into the ‘garage’…(between the cones) The drive went tidy too, & I keep concentrating on everything that Peter had taught me throughout training, which certainly made a difference on the day, gaining a clear pass Without his tuition & helpfullness, I may not have done so well. This leads me now to say a very big. THANK YOU VERY MUCH to Peter and all his very kind and friendly staff too My future is a lot brighter now I hope this post hasn’t been too difficult to read, I still have laptop problems & have borrowed the equivelent of an android phone with a lid !!! & a mind of its own
