I’m absolutely chuffed to bits
Passed C with three minors,
After failing previously, closer to where I live, with purley just test nerves, I thought
it would never happen
, but me being of determined nature had decided to resave for training again, and head a long way northwards to somebody who has a very good reputation, Peter Smythe transport training.
The ironic thing is I would have gone there in the first place if I had lived closer, as I live in south west, & it was difficult to get time off work, & to travel the distance & back in the limits my boss gave me
So to cut along story short, I spent up- failing & ended up back to square one so decided to take the plunge & travel way off up country .
The reception I had was warm & friendly & put me at ease, & the training was very good as were the driving standards, & I feelt calm & comfortable with it, & made great pogress, managing to hold my nerves at bay on the test (which was my biggest problem)
At last…I got there!!! Yipeeeeeeeeeee
the reality is kicking in more this morning (the morning after!!)
Many thanks Peter for all your help getting me through this test
I would have been better to travel the distance in the first place!! than to loose money else where
Congratulations

Funny you should say that. I thought she had at least a C already.

Honest reply from Peter, as is the norm.
Congratulations Bonnie Lass on passing your rigid test. You chose your training centre well in the end.
If you are also taking your c+e with Peter Smythe Transport Training. You are half way there already.
Mike
Well done on the pass Bonnie Lass. Its a great feeling having that blue cert in your hand isn’t it?.
Good luck when your CE come around.
Nice one bonnie lass, it’s a great feeling well done!
Congratulations
If you are wanting experience quickly or soon with Cat C then I would advise you get your HIAB licence with remote control option as well as brick grab. During the summer months builders merchants are desperate for HIAB drivers and if you’re lucky it can last up until November before going quiet. But it will give you the experience of the operating, driving and manoeuvring in some tight or odd places, as well as the multitude of loads to go with it.
HIAB would probably be between £100 and £300 depending on where you are or where you go. But make sure that brick grab is on the licence as a lot of companies won’t touch you without it. Some will and then you’d get the experience to operate but even after seeing that some companies want you to have the actual licence…
Manpower do the Jewsons contract and other related B/Ms to that empire.

It just a pity I didn’t take ‘the plunge’ & travel way up north sooner, & yes I’ll definately be taking my C+E with Peter Smythe transport training
