Murffetts used to have loads of husband and wife teams.
I remember speaking to a husband and wife team driving for them in Macon once. She thought he was the most understanding wonderful husband ever as he let her do all the ‘easy’ motorway driving. He thought she was completely daft as she hadn’t yet twigged he would get a lovely bit of kip while she was driving on a nice straight motorway at a constant speed, while when she was trying to get some shut eye, he was up and down through the gearbox and going around corners / roundabouts etc on the nationals / mountains.

There’s alot to be said for experience…
