Yet another hours question!

Quick question thats always baffled me knowing wheter its true or not!

I know the 2x 10 drive hours in a week rule, but can tuis be done every week if needed? So long as I don’t max out my driving hours and actually have to reduce to compensate the 2x 10 hour drives.

For example week 1 (driving time)

10 mon
6 tues
10 wed
5 thurs
8 fri

Sat sun off

Week 2

10 mon
10 tues
6 weds
5 thurs
7 fri
Sat sun off

Week 3
Mon 10
Tues 7
Wed 10
Thurs 6
Fri 5

Sat sun off
And so on and so on.

No where does it state you cant do this
But does state about compensating hours if you max them to the next week.
But can i do 2x 10 hour drives every week aslong as my other driving hours over 2 weeks dont exceed the maximum allowed
Cheers

Simple answer is yes you can.

Nice. The way the ministry word everything is daft! Thanks for letting me know :+1:

No worries. As long as you stay within your fortnightly drive time limits as you correctly say.

One quirk is that it is legal to run 4x10hr drives straight off the bat.
Sat and Sun (reset at midnight Sun) then Mon and Tues.
The next weekend, the Sat and Sun are not available as 10’s," because that week’s “allowance” was used on the Mon/Tues.

10 hour rule is 2 in a fixed week… so technically as franglais says you can do 4 one after another provided they are sat sun mon tues. however in practice its 2 a week
