I’ve been going through the VoSA Rules on Drivers Hours GV262 -03 to get it into my head all the combinations and pretty clear on it but there is one bit I can’t understand or find reference to , probably staring me in the face !
On page 19 there is a table that explains driving limits over 2 weeks to show max 90 on a rolling basis , that I get, but there is also a third column that mentions 58 between weekly rests- I can’t see what’s that’s for. Is that max you can do? But then confuses me over the 56 weekly rule?
Driving time is Sunday midnight to Sunday midnight so in other words a calendar week, but what example they give although over the 56 hr limit is legal because it spans 2 weeks so therefore the clock is re-set Sunday midnight. You could do 4x 10 hr drives in succession Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday and that’ll be legal.
Yes its a bit sneaky but perfectly legal but I dont many ppl who would work a friday to wednesday buts that’s one way of getting 2 extra hours I suppose
Think I’ve got it! Wish they’d put an explanation in on it though, confused me for a while trying to see why there but now explained I can see it I think !
Not surprised infringements galore, massively over complicated trying to piece the jigsaw together. I keep trying to put a spreadsheet together but not even sure where to start at times as multiple rules to check each stage, can’t find a template anywhere so bet others gave up haha!
