Yesterdays work

These 2 pic’s where taken from my 5th drop at a unit
just behind the don valley stadium. This drop was a
bit tight getting in as a taxi firm parked it’s cars on both
sides of the road right up to the junction. I turned in to
the road and had about 3 inches on my side and 6 inches
on the passenger side with about 3ft still in lane one of
attercliffe road. The guy comes out and I ask him to drop
the cars back a bit but he just shrugs is shoulders and
pretends to clean a car while watching I don’t hit a car.
I managed to squeeze through and do the drop.

This was the collection I had to do after doing the drops.
I had to do a reverse off the main road in to this building
where there was pallets down the drivers side with box’s
of glass in.

This vehicle was supposed to be 14.6 In height and on 1
drop I had to take a different route as the bridge was also 14.6.

Nice pic`s Convoy
It sounds like you had an interesting day,
i know what you mean with the bridges we run at 15" 6"
and it can be a right pain at times

Good read convoy, just out of intrest what was the old ERF like to drive and which gearbox did it have?

I’d say its was like a shed to drive and the type of gearbox was

the bolted to the back of the engine type!!!

I’d probably agree but ERF’s are the only model of truck I have yet to drive (in modern terms) and I just wondered!!

I’ve been told i’m not missing out on much!!

It was ok to drive Super Dan but it needs the
starter looking at and the rev counter don’t work
and maybe the hand brake needs looking at as
in the morning I moved it and put on a bay and
had no problem but after loading the truck it need
a while to build up pressure and a few times through
the day when stopping at traffic lights and drops and
I released the hand brake the warning light would stay
on until you moved the trucks length before going out.
The gearbox was just a standard 6 speed box.
This erf had a bed in it but it was very small and
not very wide.

They had some trucks older than this one.
L Reg Iveco’s I think they where
