Not a trip I’ve done before. Can someone suggest a route and give some idea of how long I can expect to take. I have a 4am flight.

A303-M3-M25-M1-J9-2nd exit-Luton-keep going straight over the next roundabout, the Airport is about 2 miles at the end off the duel carriageway.
Should take about 2.5 hours at that time of the morning.
If you’re getting dropped off, you have to pay (I think it’s a pound) don’t try to be funny, cos’ they’ll screw you.
If your parking at Airparks, Slip End, it takes a good half hour to park & transfer, so you need to get there by 2-2.30 latest.
You could always go up the day before, as you’ve got a stupid early flight (probably 06.00) This is the closest hotel to the airport-

They probably do parking deals aswell.
& the food isn’t great, the cafeteria on the right at the top of the stairs is about the same as Watford Gap-Expensive & Been on the hot plate all day !
There’s an Ask if you turn left, foods a bit better but still loads of Wonga !
Lady ‘V’ & I tend to take sarnies, at least you know what you’re getting !
Last time I was there, the checkin desks took forever, then security takes forever, but that time of the morning you might be ok.

I can use a map and sat nav but why wouldn’t I tap into the minds of thousands of professional drivers?
Which map would I use to find out the food’s rubbish?
I’m not going on holiday. I’m providing the haulage for my mrs and her sister to go on holiday.

Check the car engine oil/radiator\windsreen bottle level before the journey and top up the tyre pressures.Top up fuel.
I got pulled over by unmarked plod.They asked for I.d.I was on way to the airport and showed the email confirmation.
They were very polite and said i was checked over due to a spate of rural house burglaries.
All this at 3am.Check tyre pressure for the spare tyre and that all the kit is there to change it.It takes the worry off to concentrate on the driving and more time for a coffee break.
Hope you’re charging the appropriate rate ? ie 6 months worth of Pub without any Ear Bending.
