Norbert Dentressangle Tankers
LGV Class 1 ADR Driver/nights
Job description
This is not a Tanker Driver Position.
XPO Logistics is an established leader in the logistics field providing a quality warehousing and distribution service to a number of blue chip/multi national organisations. Due to an expansion in customer demands, we are looking to recruit a full time night driver working Monday to Friday in our Grimsby depot.
The Monday to Friday shift patterns typical are an intial 6pm start but must be flexable with an average weekly working week of 50 hours. The remuneration package includes an hourly rate of pay of £14.50 per hour for a basic 40 hour week and overtime is paid at £21.75 per hour Monday to Saturday with Sunday being paid at double time with 20 days holidays paid in addition to the general bank holidays. A typical weekly pay for 50 hours will be £797.50.
Working out of our customers site in Grimsby, the job involves trunking flatbed pintel trailers to other customer sites. The use of this specialised trailer takes away the need to strap/secure pallets to the trailer bed.
Reporting to the Driver Manager , the successful candidates must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Proven experience of driving LGV is essential. The positions may also include some Fork Lift Truck driving and as such experience in this area is preferred, however training will provided for the right candidate(s).
If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to fulfil any of the positions and wish to apply, then please forward your CV together with a letter of application detailing which position you are applying for and why you should be considered for the role to: - mark.harrison@xpologistics.com
I Googled them as I have never heard the name before and there are pictures, very low slung trailers, I would have thought they are impossible to turn over, no straps or ropes needed? ADR work, ■■■■ it and see, very good money.
merc0447:
I’ve just googled Pintel trailer and nothing much relevant comes up. Somebody got a picture of one?
I don’t quite get the job description either? Are you delivering these trailers and bob tailing it back or summit?
Really good money though but something doesn’t seem right, must be a catch.
No catch.
I work on this contract already, a pintle trailer is a flat bed trailer with metal squares sticking up from the sides, 10 each side and metal stillages (pallets) sit over the top of the metal square acting as a roll bar stopping any movement of the pallets, it’s for a v large gas company and it will involve multi destinations trunking, it really does beat working for a living
Any more info pm me.

1k a week? I get 2k a week stacking shelves.
How do u stack shelves with a dodgy arm
Slowly ha. My left arm though is becoming more useful after all the extra training it has received since last summer.
Still im back at work again next week after enjoying the last 4 weeks off playing so much Fifa I think Messi is retired and Nottingham Forest are European champions again.
Mark Harrison is a good bloke, not like the previous manager Dominac Barrriac …Who has been demoted…play it straight with him…and he will protect you…play up he will drop you…XPO pay very good money now .But you have to keep on top of your game…If you think your a professional then apply…arsxxxxholes and idiots won’t last 5 minutes… PS I’m ex N/D Tanker driver and never sucked cxxck .but the job and conditions are good
From what I’ve read in the job description, given the rates on offer, that sounds like a very good job.
If I lived in North Lincolnshire and had the necessary ADR certificate I’d be onto that in a heartbeat.

Nearly correct Dom’s still the big boy on the powder tanks and Mark moved across to our gas contract
I’m guessing you left when Leigh came to an end pal ?
Hi Mr Gasman…Saw writing on wall June 2014 so moved on…Re Barrriac he’s running ( from a cupboard that ain’t even got it’s own landline ,in TDG,Runcorn )an operation that has lost 90 ℅ of its Drivers…His title hasn’t changed but his office and responsibility’s have…Rumour has it he’s got 18 mths to turn it around… Now that is a thankless task

Evening Rog.
I was over in Runcorn last week and Dom’s got himself a nice little office now downstairs, not heard anything about the 18 month turnaround but when I’m back over Runcorn way I’ll be listening out to see what’s occurring.
Been told there’s plenty of new drivers coming through the doors for the powder tanks but as I don’t really know any of the previous drivers I couldn’t say who’s new or not
