Xmas working

Something I’ve never thought about or looked at.

Finished today at 1700. I’m running out of our yard Sunday afternoon. Working Monday.
Off Xmas day & Boxing day.
Back Thurs, working through until New Years Eve, off New Years day.
Back Wed to Fri, then of Sat Sun and back to Mon-Fri.

Now, Coz I’m off Tues & Wed, can I do that? With fixed weeks & stuff. I understand the regs I need to know but never done random days before.

Well I suppose it could depend on what time you’re starting work on Sunday, 17:00 today to midday Sunday is 43 hours weekly rest, that’s definitely legal if you had a regular 45 hour weekly rest period last weekend, however if you had a reduced weekly rest period last week you may want to start Sunday at 14:00 or later.

Usually work Monday to Friday, hardly any Saturdays. Last weekend was all weekend off.

Thanks for clarifying. Like I say, just not used to working random days. After new year week everything goes back to Mon to Fri.

Sorry but just wished I could work anyday

I’m on 4on4off and was due to finish my shift Christmas day, but the guy I share the wagon with is having some time off, so I asked to come in a day early and thus go home a day early
Christmas eve, then the other bonus, five days off.
