Xmas tips

Muckaway:
Sometimes a “thank you and merry Christmas” is enough. On Thursday I was taking rubble away for CMEC Demolition; Never heard of or worked for them before yet when getting the last load on I was spoken to like I’d known them for years.

I agree it’s not about money it’s about feeling appreciated

I wonder how the staff at Poundland feel?
They have been given a Christmas bonus of … 10% off any purchase made in the shop, redeemable until January 6th

best tip ive ever had was dont ■■■■ into the wind, not quite sure what it had to do with christmas tho.

Oldest lad works for a recycling company driving one of their bin wagons and so far reckons he’s got about £300 and about 2 crates of assorted beers, lagers.

The best kind of tip is knowing you’ve still got a job after Xmas

Off the firm ive had £100 in the wage, 12 bottles of wine, 2 cases of Pale Ale, a Diary and a card. (No cuddly toy   )

Off the customers a bit of booze  and between us we ask for donations to the ‘Xmas Book’ where we split the money between us a couple of the yard lads, have a beer with it and dependant on who’s there have a row too.

Sorted out ‘The Book’ today,
Full timers are getting £100 each, the new lads getting £55 each, a few of the yard lads are getting an odd £10 or £20 dependant on role.

What types of work will get the most tips? Home removals maybe?
2 years ago I got just over £100 in the run up to Christmas when I was delivering solar panels to homes.

Transportation and home cleaning gets most tips… I have worked in both sections and got some nice tips:)

£500 after tax. Had the same for the last 30 odd years.
