Xmas shopping in Cardiff

Got told this at Chepstow last night…talking to the regular lad who tips me who said that one of the other lads Mrs had been out shopping and noticed the bloke in front of her drop his wallet…she picked it up, went up to him and said the usual ‘excuse me, you dropped your wallet’…he turned round (it was a Pakistani looking bloke with a Turban) and said to her ‘thanks, one good turn deserves another…don’t go shopping in Cardiff near Christmas’ and carried on his way. The regular lads dad is a copper and this was passed on to him. Now, don’t shoot me (no pun intended) but following local arrests for the 'T’ word and other events mentioned in the Westfield centre thread, maybe some of this large shopping area carnage could be about to come true. Hopefully it’s all ■■■■■■■■ and we can all carry on as normal, but please be careful

This has been doing the rounds since 9/11 total ■■■■■■■■.

Exactly the same thing happened in Meadowhall in Sheffield, load of ■■■■■ and police have confirmed it.

Well until its confirmed as a load of bollox, take it as you will

Do people still trot out this ■■■■■ and expect people to believe it. :unamused:

Go tell a Sikh in a turban call him a Muslim and see what happens

why split hairs, they are what they are, collective descriptions work fine…i.e. flipflops…don’t mater if there Latvian, polish, lithuanian, flipflops…only your not allowed to call Pakistani lookalikes what they get called in real life,or its a zbzb…and due to your post, its obvious that there are no more racist people, than the aforementioned, whether they wear turbans or not…same for the flipflops, they all fight amongs themselves and are constantly bitter to each other…but becase there not pink and british, then its never deemed to be racist.

He gave good advice…

Cardiff is a ■■■■■■ nightmare around Xmas.

Why would anyone want to go Christmas shopping anywhere?

Bah, Humbug!

Why?

The guy above basically said turbans are exclusively for Sikhs and that just isn’t correct at all.

When I see somebody with a turban I don’t think Sikh or Muslim. I don’t think anything as I don’t give a toss what’s on their napper or what religion they are.

''Generally Muslims do not wear turbans however to add to the confusion some do. These are Afghani Muslims (the common image of Bin Laden comes to mind as this is seen widely in the media). If u google “Afghani turban” u will notice that this is different to a Sikh one although its kinda subtle. It also seems that some Saudi Arabians wear turbans.

Put it this way if u see a guy on the street with a turban on 99% of the time he’s a Sikh! And if he has a steel bangle on his right arm then he is defo a Sikh! Hope that helps I just wish that the rest of the world stop showing ignorance in what the turban means/who wears it!!!‘’

Just Googled that so am I a new Carryfast in the making ?

Yep

Oh great, I deliver to Cardiff city centre a lot.

these things normally end up doing the rounds like this.

Bloke B hears the tale from bloke A. Bloke B is told by bloke A that it happened to a mate, or a mate of a mate of bloke A

Bloke B tells the story to bloke C. Bloke B simplifies it and tells it that it happened to either bloke A or Bloke A’s mate.

Bloke C tells the tale to bloke D. Can’t remember the lineage so simplifies is (what’s one person as seems genuine). See he tells bloke D that it happened to bloke B or bloke A at a stretch.

Bloke D tells it to bloke E. Same again, he only has the latest version, that it happened to bloke B. So the process that started with bloke A is repeated.
