Hi, i have been driving class 2 for around 18 months now.
Since then i have been doing the following. As as a typical day as an example
7am start
3hs drive
15mins poa
30mins drive
Break 1.15pm for 6h wtd (45mins)
2pm
3hs drive
Finish 7:30pm.
My questions are… Because i have had 15 mins poa in morn that dosent count towards 6hs so i can take it 15 mins later?.
The main thing is if i started my break at 1.15 had 45 mins. My next wtd would start from end of my break at 2pm?

Why don’t you have a 15 min break instead of poa then you only need 30 mins break after?

There’s nothing wrong with that.
It makes no difference really but why do you have 15 minutes POA rather than 15 minutes break ?

The reason is. I dont get paid for 45mins a day so i dont work for 45 mins lol. So i use the poa so i can have a later dinner 
, plus my poa might be made up 5-10 depends… Im a skip driver so i can go the same site upto 5 times aday so i know at what sites i am going to be waiting etc

I see, most companies pay for any breaks after the first 45 minutes but if yours doesn’t then obviously you’re not going to book more than 45 minutes break

See i do get paid if i have more than 45 mins. but the only time i use break is when i know im parked up and not get miverd so i can have a snooze 
. Wish my job came with a bed although i drive a baby 14plate 18t daf lf

Would love to show you how many breaks i get in myself, not all tipper drivers rush about ! Today i got 2 hours 15 mins in in breaks and only worked a 10 hours 20 mins shift in total so there ya go. 
See i do get paid a bonus on a points system. So i get 1-5 points a skip depending on factors, my bonus is pais after i earn 100 points… But i dont let that rule me cause other wise i would end up chasein my arse for more jobs for money. Thats when acidents happen id rather have more breaks lol. At 10.60 ph im happy to sit on poa lol

You’ve got the tipper driver mentality though if you’re thinking 15 minutes here can save you 15 minutes there.
