The daily limit is the same as drivers hours, the question you need to ask is how many can you do in a week and that is 60 excluding breaks and PoA.

Cheers and is it not exceeding 48 hrs av over 26 weeks?

Not the responsibility of the driver to keep track of those WTD hours

Drivers responsibility to give all hours info to employer

Employer takes responsibility for keeping track of WTD via their admin dept who have the computer systems for it

Authorities do not seem bothered about WTD

Now you can sleep easy

Suspect that won’t apply in the case of the M1 mini bus crash if WTD is found to have been flouted :open_mouth:

However i can guess where $$$ is working, and to earn the top line you have been led to believe is attainable (pay mentioned on another thread), you might be making use of POA and break rather more than you might think.

I will need to record my working time, driving time, breaks, poa (won’t bother with that) on my time sheet, bit of pain that’ll be, not sure if the tacho puts accumulations on the screen.

Payed by the hour card in to card out, more for driving than other, and a little bit more for cars shifted. Not Walon 2. It’s a strange one but because it was Paragon it’s not the same contract as other sites I.e Walon 2. The bonus of a strong union maybe. Im relieved as it seems like at other sites you’re earnings are only as good as your allocatotions with day men doing two local loads earning far more than a tramper.

Good, i did wonder what they were going to do with the Paragon side after takeover.

Hope it works well for you, the trainer, B?, if it’s who i suspect trained you, is a top bloke and will have put you through your paces (and been truthful about the real job, that is not always the case), none of that throwing 10 Corsas on cobblers, so when you get a real bloody load out somewhere on your jack jones you’re up the creek, you’ll have had some serious loads on already i daresay.

All the best there, you already know it’s going to be bloody hard work.

Yeh B, top bloke like you say. It’s going to be a tough first few months I reckon but then hopefully things will start to get better as my technique improves and thought process speeds up. For now I’m just going to take my time and aim for zero damage.

on digi just do a print out everyday, then add the driving and working time together.
Lastest stoneridge tacho will show it on the screen.
