So if im working 15h I need to take:
- 15 min break within first 6h
- 30 min break between 6-9 and
- 45 min break after 9 hours
So cumulatively I need to take not less then 1.5h breaks in a 15 hour work day otherwise im in infringement, is that correct?

No that’s not correct.
At no point during the shift should you exceed 6 hours working time without having a break of at-least 15 minutes.
For a 15 hour shift you will need a total of at-least 45 minutes break (this is assuming the total working time exceeds 9 hours).
You do not need a 30 minute break between 6 and 9 hours working time, you only need a total of 30 minutes break before 9 hours working time if your total working time is more than 6 hours but does not exceed 9 hours.
See if this post helps ![]()
So only 45 min break in a 15 hour day….stellar ![]()
That’s capitalism for ya ![]()

That’s the minimum legal requirement to comply with the working time regulations, what breaks you actually have may or may not be another story ![]()
Basically 6 hrs 15 mins then upto. 9 hrs another 30 mins (think the second one can be 2 ×15? If done this it won’t reset your driving time though as your 2nd break needs being to 30mins )
So start at 6 do 6 hours take 15 mins at 12 .
9 hrs rule meansat 15 00 you need to take another break of 30 mins .
6 hr rule then starts again. So 15 30 work untill 21 00 as you won’t of done 6 hrs from 15 30.
So yes 45 mins.
You try making an office worker on 9 to 5 shift.
Start at 9 and don’t take your 1st break until 15 00 your get laughed at and told where to get off.
Yet. For us drivers we get told do it or out the door by said office staff
Thank you my friend for stating the obvious,
No wonder there’s a shortage of drivers. And this exploitation will continue until we step up with the unions or Musk invents artic delivery robots. I’m hoping for second one.
No that’s no correct, if you start work at 06:00 you will need to start a 15 minute break no later than 12:00, for the working time regulations you will then need to start another break of at-least 15 minutes no later than 6 hours working time from the end of the first break, which in theory could be as late as 18:15.
Obviously this is not taking into account driving breaks which also count as WTD breaks.
@johnny7056
Please bear in mind that these are the minimum legal requirements for the working time regulations, the likelihood is that you will never work to these minimum requirements.
Well ok yes work 5 HR 59 then start your break still same outcome just a minute out.

You said that if you start work at 06:00 and have a break from 12:00 to 12:15 you would need a 30 minute break at 15:00 for the 9 hour rule, but you would legally need to start another break no later than 6 hours working time from the end of the previous break, so if the first break finished at 12:15 you could legally work until 18:15 before starting another break.
Work 2 hours then 17 min coffee break, work another 2 hoursish and then 33 mins snap break-rinse and repeat throughout the shift.
Yeah I know but these ■■■■■ are tracking me
