Anybody else come across this kind of taking down directions?
It’s volvos version of the Google glass.
Epic
brilliant
better than bumping into cars while fiddling with tiny bits of paper covered with scribbles
Heads Up Display the old fashioned way
Pilots have had it for years to display a mass of information, it’s been available in cars for sat-nav and many other things for a couple of years. Projects images on to a silvered film inside the windscreen, and available from Amazon!

“I got back into my unit after a week off and some chuffing ex-Stobart polish agency driver has scrawled directions all over my windscreen in permanent marker”.
I’ve had maps drawn on the back of the trailer a few times but never the windscreen

Now that’s plain dangerous. How can you read a map on the back of a trailer and drive safely as well.

On Boeing C17 transporter aircraft an image is displayed on the windscreen to aid the pilot with the information needed. The pilot still has a clear view of his/her surroundings for a safe flight.
It is feasible that one day modern trucks could have their satnav display on the windscreen format.
The road ahead could be displayed to warn of topography such as steep hills and other hazards ahead.
Scania now uses Gps to tell a cab computer when there hills and will adjust the truck to the relevant speed to save fuel.
What a brilliant idea, and I’m going to take it a step further. Instead of listening to CDs, I’m just going to write the song lyrics on my windscreen!
