So you get a small vehicle for private use. There’s an incentive. Can’t see much wrong with this ad to be fair.

It would suit a semi-retired person. But U/S for a full time bread earner.

Surely a semi-retired person would want an easier life, not 35hrs between 5am and 11pm Mon - Sat? :open_mouth:

Work Fri and Sat on an artic and probably earn the same if not more.

It’s doesn’t seem to be HGV work. What’s the going rate for a van driver?

My missus is on £7 an hour paid straight through, she’s on a zero hour contract and that suits us, she probably does 20-25hrs a week.

The wages work out to be just over £7 per hour.

Not too shabby for van work when you think about it. I know plenty of morons who drive artics for the same money.

Shifts starting anytime between 05.00 and 23.00.
I reckon that’s fairly shabby.

I think this is on-call courier work. That would explain the variable start times. The 12k is a basic pay, there may be extras for unsociable hours…although I’d expect them to mention it

Perhaps it would be better if you read the whole advert rather than looking only at the bottom line.

They require you to start any time between 0500 and 2300. That means that there are 4 shifts per day @ 6 hrs each so you will either work;

0500 to 1100
1100 to 1700
1700 to 2300
2300 to 0500

Now, if after all that you still thinks that this job is shabby, then don’t apply.

HTH

It also states the lowest salary, not the actual take home.

I don’t intend to apply.

Not even if they ran ex Thames Materials Scanias?

Must call to Romania or Poland.

I’d be tempted then lol

Isn’t there a shortage of workers in general on the milton estate - bearing in mind this is deep behind Tory lines and all…

Sure, they’d like to pay everyone among the working classes the minimum they can get away with - but it costs to live in Oxfordshire, no matter who you happen to be or vote for… :bulb:

That “bandstand” security hut job with the fancy quiet electric panda car seems like the cushiest job on the estate tbh… :grimacing:

Wonga Wagons
And let one driver dish the work out so he gets the late starts/early finishes and all the local work?
Hang on, haven’t we worked somewhere like that before?

I think we have.
It sounds familiar to me come to think of it
