I only wish I hadn’t left trucking in 2008. now with the cost of cpc/ digi card / medical the cost for me to return is expensive

But we all have to pay for those. Fair enough, you might have to shell it all out in one hit to get back on the road, but it’s only a few hundred quid tops
No i would have took a trade or something where the money is,and get out of being a steering wheel attandant and watching this big tv screen.No wonder most young people dont want to drive trucks and i encourage them to stay well away,2 years and i,m out counting the days after only 11 years in trucking i use to enjoy the job,but not anymore if you do enjoy the job good on you.

Yes I probably would, not that I had a lot of choice the first time around as I was posted to a tank transporter regiment when I was aged 18.However, if I could turn the clock back to them days I’d do what a mate of mine did, whilst I was ■■■■■■■ every penny against the wall and attempting to screw every woman in West Germany he was putting every penny he earned into buying property. He retired when aged 40 and now lives in a massive villa in Spain after selling his 40 odd houses in London. Hindsight eh?
