Would you give up your truck to drive a van

Na, drive a truck class 2 then class 1 then realise it’s no big deal as I did. In the end it’s all about the money, but you will need to scratch that truck itch first to realise this…

I work to earn Money. If your Job pays my Bills, something else speaks for doing it,and im sure i can do it,why not? Just jumping Lanes as White Van Drivers do and driving 20 Hour a Day,pay half of the Damage in Case of Accident for …,well.
Wot speaks against it?
i sleep every Day at Home. Just left Bed and had Bacon Joint for Breakfast. Dont need Motorway Service Station Food. Dont need to sleep across the Seat. Dont have to cheat with Logbook,…
If you have anything that counts towards that, just give me a Mail

If I could earn similar money driving a van with more sociable hours then ■■■■ right. Not precious about driving Class 1 whatsoever, it’s a novelty that wears off after a few months.

I had my feet under the table in a good Class 2 job and blew it all to drive an artic. Total mistake.

I have a bunk, a night heater, cruise control, air con. I don’t sleep across seats. Don’t eat junk food, and earn more dough than the last job. Mail that! :unamused:

I passed my Class 2 in January and joined an agency however I have been given van work only up to posting. I am new to the industry so I welcome the Van driving experience, but I want to get into Truck driving.
Should I stick with the agencies or keep persevering in trying to get a full time job Truck driving directly with a Company?

Try a different agency. Look for full time work if it suits your lifestyle. I started agency because it meant I had money coming in and could fit work around uni. Now I’d like a full time job because I’m not at uni.

I didn’t. Couldn’t give a hoot about driving something bigger to be honest. It’s about the quality of life, quality of working life, quality of monies in my pocket, all joint top and inextricably linked to each other. Driving the biggest, bendiest, blingyist truck are all joint bottom… And I like a nice truck.

Anywhy. Its not Life as long as no Job Offer pops in. I decide then. But till now,wot i know about Van its unlikely to apply seriously.
But wait,…
Last time i sah an Add for £6.50 an Hour plus £500.- share of Damage if an Accident occoures.
Same Time was an Add for a Cleaner in a Gym. £7.50 an Hour + a free Meal + a free Membership

But Nat Min wage gone up i just hear.

This class 1 snobbery ■■■■■■■■ gets on my ■■■■. I choose to drive vans, and they’re screaming for class 1 down here in Devon. I get more for the van than I do for the trucks down here. Forget that!

+1
I’ve left class 1 to go driving a coach to Heathrow airport and back and better money too

Give it a go, if you don’t like it move on but if you do like it stick with it, without trying it out you’ll never know for sure.

Yes. If offered I would. So make me an offer of a van job on euro work.

Hi deck21,

Just a friendly pointer please…

It seems you might have some issues with certain people, but that’s not what this topic is about, so they’re probably best dealt with by PMs.

That way, it saves a perfectly good topic from being derailed and descending into nonsense.

Thanks.
