found a flat ro-ro no price as yet though — it’s on gileskips.co.uk and it’s the right colour.
the ■■■■■■■■■■■ came out of my old fiesta it’s a recaro - i damaged my back a long time ago and had problems with the standard seat and when i put it in it fit on the jcb rails and it doesn’t get in the way of the controls and i find it mega comfy — might not be your idea of what should be there but hell i customised my tele myself with some help from the boys and girls at Gunn, it’s soooo far from being standard but then again it’s mine bought and paid for so…
just gotta find this magnum ro-ro truck so a can have a butchers — hoping that i can find one in black just so it’ll match the flatbed and my forks
but that scanny looks really sweeeeet
decisions…decisions…time to put the kettle back on again methinks…
Yes im fully aware as to how a jcb telehandler cab allows itself to utilise a ‘bucket’ seat
i would of thought a maggie would be a stretch job n build from scratch type job but that said look at 57 plate onwards and there is a few firms that will stretch and build to your requirements
and maybe throw another axle on just to be sure
not 100% sure but i would imagine that you would scrape in under budget and dnt forget the piccies once you get sorted
the magnum idea was what someone else put forward - i’ll def go n have a look.
saw one them newish strator trucks (11 plate) in shotton near chester last night and it didn’t look too bad don’t know what it’d look like as hookloader…
i saw a 113 360 T cab 1990 vintage on nnvs.co.uk in need of an overhaul and is up for £15 inc vat (that would maybe suit a cut and shut lowloader )
talking of skyscrapers have you seen how high up that maggie is uh they have to get materials round sites like that so they use forks cos there’s only so many cranes you put in one area before it gets congested — bit like the m6…
lowloading trailers like the one in above post look half decent and ripe for the chopping block…thinking take out the bit from the step to the wheels and shut it again leaving the beavertail in place…
going to have a look at custom shops to see if i can try and keep in budget - as for when it’ll happen depends on me finding the right people to do it - the right kit to kick it all off and the right parts to customise it and if i need extra cash then it’s going to be a bit longer than that…
the lowloading rigid idea that i had was to use tri axle and ramps but have it low enough in the middle to drive on — sounds nuts but i like the picture that i drew of it…time for yet another brew methinks …if the kettles not on then it ■■■■ well should be…
O A D — what has this got to do with the original Q concerning res. o lic
and why is that you’re openly slagging me off maybe it’s cos you want my work but couldn’t do it cos you’ve not got the skills…or the people skills to do it…
I haven’t time to read everything above so apologies if I’m repeating something. You don’t need an 8x4, a 6x2 will carry your machine with ease I used to carry a 926 RTFL and a 535-105 together on a 6x2. A 535-95 is about 9t you may even get it on an 18t 4x2.
4 wheeler beavertails are not common, due to their relative low payoad but therefore could be cheap. 6x2 rigids are popular and plentiful as they can still carry 14-15t even with an Andover body. 8x2 and 8x4 are not so common and are often snapped up quickly by small plant hire firms.
i’m keeping all options open from rigids through to rigs and trailers. like the idea of a 6x2 though would be cheaper on tax…a got a day off today so am going for look round a few places…i know that hawk plant hire have got a couple of ramped ones up for sale so they’re on the list to have a look at. this decision i know is going to take time cos whatever i get will have to last a long time…
so you have your own yard,a jcb telehandler that you own out right, yet you have been driving crappy lorries for everyman and his dog(you said something along these lines in your other post).
and why would a site hire a telehandler for one or two days? surely they would hire them for weeks at a time, yet you want to spend 30 ■■■■■■■ grand on a lorry to cart it about-wouldnt it be sitting idle almost all of the time?
you are a fantasist and should seek help, instead of wasting peoples time on here…

I’ve, over the years, found all sorts of bits of information and advice of use on this forum. I can tolerate the owner driver ones where the whole thing’s a bit poorly researched and dreamer-ish but timewasters and trolls could discourage people from posting useful info.
Guess if they weren’t doing this they’d be wearing medals off ebay to the local remembrance parade,
