The worst maintained units I’ve ever had the misfortune to drive.
It only happened once, and it won’t ever happen again. And since then I’ve seen several of their units that re-in force my original impression.
Fraiken heaps of absolute ■■■■■■ Thankfully we’ve started using a new company that provide well maintained 61/62 plate merc actros.
Think we fell out with fraiken after they tried to charge us for damage 2 weeks after they got the truck back and well my boss really dont take no prisoners and told them to do one.

Some of Dawson Rentals trucks are a bit pants.
Anyone heard of axis?? We’ve just got a new fleet on MAN tgx units on 62 plate and they are from axis who I’ve never heard off. I’m goin from an 09 reg actros to the MAN and from what I see they are bog standard. 1st day out on the road tomorrow, gonna try and sneak in me actros and use that

Say no more ! Cutting a long story short, first one today was a MAN, stunk of burning and was spluttering badly until turbo kicked in. Returned that one after an hour of being given the keys at the office and it was swapped for another MAN. On collecting the 2nd one at the Fraikin depot the guy said he hadn’t had time to ‘clean’ the unit. I really had to stop myself from opening my mouth as I wanted to mention the fact that all the units I’ve driven from Fraikin were absolute sess pitts of filth to say the least, but to find out they cleaned them before they were hired out was astonishing to me, what are they like before they are ‘cleaned’ ? Anyway, the 2nd one was an ‘07’ plate like the 1st one and both have done 785,000+ kms. Both have more faults than San Andreas too
£75 per day hire rate according to the hire sheet btw !
