Flashing in goes back to old lorries in the fifties and sixties that had tiny mirrors that vibrated.
Now modern vehicles have large mirrors, so you don’t need to be flashed, being aware of the length of what’s behind you, why do you need help ?
.

I would have though tobes that an old experienced driver like you would know that it aint all to do with helping an overtaking truck, it’s letting him know you are comfortable with the space left before he pulls in. I don.t give a [zb] whether he thinks he is clever enough to need it or not, I’m more concerned with keeping my o/side mirror and front grille :bulb: although with these knobs it often works out too late.

the thing is if you tried to flash someone in if you was on a driving test, you would be marked down for it or even fail it, as your supposed to know how big you are and be able to make up your mind when its safe to move back in after over taking

so why are you making such a din about being flashed or not ?

1.I have passed my test so that point is irrelevant.

  1. When did I say I needed flashed in or didn’t know how big I was?

3.I aint making a ‘din’ :unamused: about anything.

2 out of 10 for effort Pete…but keep trying if it amuses you

:sunglasses: just spat out me beer robroy lmfao

Radar 19 is going to the largest top posh totty fest in the West known as Glastonbury festival.
A random fact, the Eavis family do not own the land where the pyramid stage is, the site is on about 900 acres, they own about 500 acres and have to negotiate with neighbouring farms.
They are thinking of not having the festival at Worthy farm, it may move to a other county.
The Bath and West showground is one option.

Alas no, I’ve been before back in 2011 but that was with my uni and I was working. I was on that day heading back to the wonderful hell hole known as Bradford!

New drivers who come on here when they first pass their test, ask advice from the… :quote:"Old time lorry drivers’’ get 5 minutes experience under their belts, (which makes them think they have done it all, even though they have not even got the stabilisers off) …and then come on here slagging off the same guys. :bulb: Yawnnnnn
Hear any bells ringing? :bulb:

:sunglasses: spot [zb] on mate :smiling_imp:

Nah, your exaggerating rob roy. He’s been a big wheel man for at least a month. :unamused:

When lorry drivers get back to acting like pro drivers, they might earn the right to criticise others, breath not held.

Exactly right professionalism seems to have gone these days. Has nobody any pride anymore? I am sure there are still some professionals out there but it’s getting harder and harder to spot them. :unamused:

they have all but gone or haven’t you noticed the increase in new drivers and the polish and other nationals that run the show these days, driving is now the same as the nhs with mostly the people who will do the job any more come from overseas.

i am sure it would be a good idea now that as part of the cpc drivers should undergo learning to speak polish as it certainly would help out a lot in the transport game these days

in fact we should all really learn how to speak Indian or Pakistani just in case we need medical help, i mean its what we should do so we can still be seen as being a good multicultural country that promotes peace and harmony, its the least we could do.

but anyway that is for the future to decide as i know one thing now the Jeanie is out of the bottle there seems no way of shoving the bugger back in the dam bottle

Jenson Button.

I think you mean ’ Genie '.

Maybe you were thinking about ’ I dream of Jeannie '. She was fit at the time.

Probably out of your league though Pete.( Not holding a cert of competence etc ).

I’m not fussy!

They always seem to be in front of me on the A406 North Circular. Seems to be a meeting place where they run in convoy. :grimacing:
