In my opinion, men are far worse than women.
Yes, women tend to be more dopey and away with the fairies (checking hair in mirror etc 
) but men are chancers and purposely run the gaunlet and take risks.

Women must be better drivers than us men, cause they eat lots of carrots, they must do cause they never need lights in fog or in torrential rain, esp if they are driving silver cars.As my mother-in-law once said I dont need lights on, I can see where im going.

No vote here, how can anyone come to an overall conclusion that clearly defines one gender is worse than the other. There are good & bad drivers of both genders, & dont forget to take into consideration the broarder picture 
- young, old, illegal, disabled, other health issues (known about(diagnosed) or not ), dementure, medication etc, ect

I am inclined to agree with this, but⌠it is noticeable that many insurance companies do give better discounts to women.

Funnily enough, I was driving up the M6 tâother week at about 9am and it was â â â â â â â down with lots of spray about and I started to notice that every car without fail that had no lights on was driven by a woman. Draw your own conclusions.
Having said that, and at the risk of sounding contradictory, I think that women are safer drivers (apart from wet, dark motorways) than men, but men are technically more proficient at controlling a vehicle.

I think its funny when you indicate to come out into lane 2 on the motorway and the car behind wont overtake you no matter how long you are in lane 2(possibly overtaking 2+ lorrys) and as you come into lane 1 again it is normally always a woman For some reason most I come across are scared to overtake, personally though I find the âolder generationâ worse then any women. They are just idiots and dangerous at that 
Not taking into consideration the older generation since the hazards they cause are because of their belief that going above 40 will cause imediate black out.
I agree that men take more chances some are total idiots. Women donât take enough chances and are less considerate especially the younger ones.
The funny thing is that in the evening some people park outside the chippy where I currently work regardless of the fact there is a free car park within yards. It is an old road with buildings about 300 years old either side, itâs a bit narrow and lorries have to mount the curb to get around other lorries or buses. So when they have to drive around the parked car, they sound the horn and the customers (always been female) will say âBloody lorry drivers think they own the roadâ They evidently didnât notice the double yellows and the zig zag from a zebra crossing that they are parked over. Any men who have done it have just said oops.
As for parking I will state men are better, but the oldies are entertaining.
So on what grounds are we stating which is better? Ability or the manner in which they drive.
Oh yeah, my girlfriend is terrible for leaving headlights on for approaching cars.

Probably to create further revenue, years ago it used to be very often that the man had the car to get to work, therefore insuring it in his name & the wife would be added onto this for a small fee. These days a lot of women work or have a car for there own independance, & by Insurance companies offering better deals to women drivers has created a larger income for themselves.

old people are the worst, how many times do you flash your lights to let an old driver out and they dont understand whats going on as they cant see They go 35 on a motorway, it would be 25 on a dual 
Just the other day a old lady was waiting to come out of a side road so I flashed her (as Im nice like that ) she stared I flashed again and this time added a arm gesture, yet still looked at me with eyes half closed (couldnt see me) finally after one more arm gesture she went
They are a hazard to them selfs watched a police program the other night and they got old people to read number plates at the required distance but hardly anyone out of the older generations apparently can read it in half the distance
Back to the topic though I would have to say women (not being sexest) but it clear my missus gets scared of driving long distances, she sits in the over taking lane sitting at 75mph she sees a BMW driver in mirrors, I say are you going to move over ? shes like why should I ?
One last one (I could go on) its the classic example of slip Roads my missus didnt have a clue untill I explaned that when your on one you try stay to left side where possable so faster traffic can over take on the approach (Ohhhhh I didnt know that she said ) then when you see the traffic moving as you approach adjust speed to there speed and blend in so you dont have to make people move over or brake hard (ohhhh I thought you wait for them to move over she says )
I find wearing high heels is always a disadvantage 
Another observation on this subject, have you noticed that every car ambling along the motorway in lane one at 48/50 MPH is usually an elderly man or a woman, you can put money on it
