In my book hats off to Samworth Brothers, they do look smart, one firm i have noted seem to be untidy are in Highbridge in Somerset, they look a mess for the ones i have seen out and about, they do bricks and general haulage with blue trucks.
Old worn out work boots with laces or string missing, or not ■■■■■■■, with jogging trousers, the public image and all that.
Firms that give a decent uniform but the wearer adds or takes away his own unique clothing to make a bad appearance.
Fresh Linc uniform is steel toe cap boots, shell suit bottoms dirty white tea shirt an greasy high vis.
Well that’s what the ones I see wairing this season

Worst dressed for me has to be UPS drivers with that jobby coloured uniform.

The new maritime strips pretty darned natty.Wish other firms would take a leaf out of their books.Even premier firms like Goldstar expect their people to turn out in duds that possess all the allure of beetroot sacks,hideous abrasive bog standard attire.
Maritime have played a blinder in the style stakes.Impeccable turnout.

Judging by one of their drivers I was chatting to this week, they spend nearly every minute of their time on bay polishing, cleaning washing etc.
He certainly did, was even disappointed when he got a green light cos he had to put his polish away!
Just proves my theory that most decent drivers will look after a truck if they are in it all the time, whereas cab hopping means they get demoralised cleaning up after others so stop caring.

aye a proper tie ,then i got a clip on tie… short sleeved shirts, jersey,puffer type jacket (mind when they changed from the green /white ones to mostly green ) and uniform one as well.

The firm that goes to Europe from Barry in Wales, with yellow trucks, their drivers are very scruffy.
It does not take much effort to buy some decent work trousers from Dickies or a good builders merchants, for trousers with lots of pockets to put the mobile phone in.
And work boots, you pay more for but last longer.

Drivers complain about not being treated with respect… turning up on a customers premises well presented and looking proffesional is one big step in the right direction. Is it any wonder staff at a lot of places lack sympathy for drivers stuck in poxy waiting rooms etc. when half of them look like a bunch of scruffs.
Our uniform at Fagan & Whalley is decent, just a shame some drivers dont wearit/ look after it.
Always looks better when your smart me thinks.
