Worried over calculating hours

I have done the homework theory regarding drivers hours but nervous as hell about hitting the road and doing this practically.
Should I print off each day to take home? I have applied to do driving for a scaffolding company so possibly the driving with be lots of shortish runs - work - short run - work etc.

I know I can use the function on the tacho to check what my total hrs are at a glance as it would be tricky to keep track of hrs if stopping and starting all the time.

I am currently a part time van driver for yodel so will have to add the hours to “other work” I there anything else I should keep my eye on? am i over thinking?

Have you googled the Tachograph Drivers Guide or drivers hours in general? Quite a lot of info in there. I’m sure if read through it a few times it will start to make sense. I’ve glanced through it. Been downloading all sorts of stuff: walkaround checks, loading (free book “code of practice safety of loads on vehicles”), etc…

Once you start i’m sure it will be pretty simple to get into the swing of it. Hopefully
