When I was his age I’d have been made to do it with a piece of sandpaper. . He said why should he use paper when there’s a sander in the workshop?? Cheeky git!!

That’s a bit of a cop-out surely? Does he tell you when he’s coming in and going home too?
Make the stupid zb read what others have said. There is no price that you can put on eyesight.You or the boss has a duty of care so get them all wearing goggles when welding or grinding is taking place.
