Working via agency for Eddie stobart

Hi, does anyone any experience for Stobarts via an agency? Currently looking at a tramping position paying £10 an hour, £25 night out allowance, working 48-58 hrs Mon-friday.
Any info would be much appreciated, thanks.

HOW MUCH■■?

For an average 10.5 day over the week that’s barely over £600 before the taxman has bent you over.
For being away from home 20 days a month?
Surely you can het day work for the same hourly rate and be home every night?

The agencies advertise 700 a week for trampers for
Stobprats around Coventry ,Rugby .You might want to keep looking …

Thanks for the replies/info. The agency said that there would “probably”be overtime available, but didn’t elaborate on it. I do 70 hrs a week 5 days, and take home around £540, so I thought I’d be better off.

Alto Automotive are advertising lots of car transporter/trainee transporter vacancies on indeed at the moment. (Never worked for them)

If you’ve a bit about yourself you could take home an extra £200 a week for 12 hours a week less than the 70

Stobart are very poor payers on agency in the east Midlands, the co-op contract for example pays £10 an hour, whereas Canute at Baginton pays £11.50 an hour and they are better to work for. Stobart aren’t very nice to work for, the individual people are fine but the company ethos is all-pervading and you can’t help but get a bit ■■■■■■ off with their constant attitude of suspicion and mis-trust.

They just blatantly lie then , on indeed its the The logistic people ?

Who does the canute agency ? as they are low pay direct …

Ask a proper truck driver… not many on here

Logistic people pay for tramping at Stobart 11 p/h or more if you do 60 hours that will be about 700 per week before tax plus about 100 tax free night out.If work for Ltd company that all together after all tax will be about 700

48-58 hrs pw , that sounds more like day / night shift hours than tramping ( think on there pay rates thing , days are classed as 53 hrs , tramping 65 hrs ( I’m being pushed for every hour which is 70+ then they want a extra shift , but not for me I’ve had enough , 5 days , 70 hrs

They will quite happily allow you to exceed your hours.

Not right
If for drivers need night out that Stobart give with any discussion and pay some 25 quid.At Stobart drivers never had problem with this or refused load, delay.

So you think that’s good ?So how do you get around WTD hours doing this week in week out ?
or putting it more bluntly ,why would you want to do those hours every week ?No life ? low pay rates?
I always insist on 11 rest a night and I won’t do 15’s regular …The odd 1 is pushing it .Glad I never tried stobprats then .
I personally think we are in the poor pay brackets due to people doing these hours as the norm .
I know a lot of guys maxing hours but none are happy …

not now no , the old ones knew there stuff , but being asked why the legs won’t wind up and having to tell them to lift the suspension up makes you wonder , refusing to drive manual trucks , being told to go empty and pick a load up and go solo , ringing in you’ve no fuel even though you’ve passed various depots where you could of got some , leaving notes on dash window washers don’t work ( water helps ) ,
yea years gone by I knew a lot of goods lads ( agency ) , but I’m sorry it’s gone right down hill
none of us are perfect but some of it beggars belief , I spent 45 mins with one the other night trying to help him reverse into a ■■■■■■■■■■■■ , it’s not like me but I just walked off in the end , I’m sorry but I’m dubious some actually have a lisense .
