I’ve no idea really, I suppose 26 weeks gives you more time to average the hours out so perhaps that’s the best unless you’re on salary and get paid for any time you need off to bring the average down.

So I suppose how you get paid will have some bearing on which is best for you.

The company i work for has just been told we must keep track of the wtd. The vosa inspector also said we must also work to the 48 hour average. Do you reckon they will follow it up if we dont bother?

Be a first if they did in my experience of reading this and other truck forums

An official cannot advise you against what the law says

Thats what i thought. But the inspector has said we must start and will be back in a month to check we have started to keep track of it.

Your boss would be daft to ignore what he’s been told in my opinion, they could be bluffing but then again perhaps they’re not :frowning:
