Working time directive spreadsheet

would anybody know where you can get a spreadsheets for a self employed driver to keep working time directive records I have tried doing my own but just can’t get the minutes sorted

Monday - 8hours 23minutes
Tuesday - 7hours 56minutes
Wednesday - 8hours 18minutes
Thursday - 9hours 3minutes
Friday - 7hours 19minutes

= 40.19

but this should really be recording 40.98

or does anybody know the formula needed to correct this - many thanks in advance for any help

Or 41:38

Should it be 40.58, but why bother nobody else goes to that much trouble

calculations into a spreadsheet are with the minutes re-calculated as a percentage of an hour - lol - just can’t get my head around it

Yeah I’ve got a spreadsheet for this very purpose, it is also useful for recording driving hours too. As an added bonus it informs me of useful dates such as National Day in Denmark, the Queen of Hollands Birthday and sunrise and sunset times. The bonus is that for such a high tech piece of kit it only cost me £1.99. I have noticed that if you leave it until say September you can get it much, much cheaper.

My Maths is terrible, I just add it all up and then if my minutes are over 60 I add an extra hour and what ever is left on the minutes.

Many companies must have something for their PCs which dooes this so what do they have ? … can you copy it?

Not sure if this will help, but I just Googled Minute Calculations & this came up-

office.microsoft.com/en-gb/excel … 42694.aspx

I’m not at a computer at the moment so couldn’t try it out.

You might need a 12 year old to help sort it out for you. LOL.

You need to format the cells with the time in them to ( hh:mm ) and format the cell with total to ( :mm ) to get the total posted below
08:23
07:56
08:18
09:03
07:19
-------
40:59
To format them, select the cells > right-click > format > number tab > custom and select hh:mm:ss, then delete :ss and click ok
