Loved what i read today in the paper, one in four staff now work for at least nine hours a day instead of the average seven and a half hours, that apparently is the equivalent of working one extra day a week, nearly half of all staff felt overwhelmed by their typical workload, how would they feel if they were HGV drivers, most of us work a typical 12 hour day if not more, probably a load of suits in a nice office when the survey was done.

Depends how they define work. Do they count from when they start until they finish or us it actual time spent physically working with breaks removed?
There’s a difference because if it was the former I’ve been at work for 12 hours today, if it’s the latter I’ve physically worked (driving and other work) just under 8 hours.
