Working for irish companies

hi,anyone working for irish firms give us abit of info on time away, time off, wages, destinations etc apart from the usual horror stories!lol, thanks to all.

It depends who you work for, I got to honestly admit most are trying there best to do it right, some are still at it some aint, but id say most are going right, cant afford not to be. Who do you have in mind? I drive for an Irishman, easy work, wages ok, home every 2nd day and get weekend break and legal down when going down the road, cant afford to be dodgy with nearly 50 lorries…

Id say a lot of your 1 or 2 man band wagon guys will still be at it but the bigger boys are trying to play it straight.

ta for reply, does ur firm just do uk or europe as well?was looking to get back into european but the uk ones ive tried seem really quite, only wanted 2 weeks away max tho, cheers howard

just avoid the likes of Nolan transport & o Leary transport+Managh transport and Balininard they all employ our eastern european friends wages are crap.there is still a few good companies to work for in ireland its just a matter of finding a good employer.

Just UK and works out of Stranraer only so unless you moe up here not much chance of getting a job.
