I would if asked to - once the presents are opened it’s usually just a case of eat too much, start drinking and eating mince pies for the sake of it (even when full) and trying not to get too stressed about kids running riotThe last three years I’ve got my 12bore out and gone for a wander round a farm!
I like the sound of that, mincing round a farm, opening the kids presents, running riot with a 12 bore after drinking sake even when full
We finish christmas eve about 2pm and are due back in early monday
,have been offered boxing day on the fridges to Asda’s anywhere but even i aint that brave
i wanted to but all the stuff we have that is is already out, 2 guys finish in moscow on the 19th and are trying to get back for the 25th, i will be back christmas eve back out boxing day
I doubt anyone at the agy has planned that far in front, but if asked I am available to work any shift between now and easter.
Theres potential to be working till 22:30 on the Thurs, as thats the time the regular Sudbury job finishes. Non of the site staff that I deliver to there are happy about doing that job, but they aint drivers. As for Xmas, I
m 1 of those miserable sods who doesnt celibrate the occasion, so to me Xmas day is just another day, though I don
t mind profiting by delivering the goods that others buy as presents. The other days through the holiday I`ll work too, especially as some of them will be bank holidays.
I celebrate the 21st December
not a chance,i miss enough of my family through the year,i aint missing my kids and wife on xmas morning.

it might be in that order - depends when I start drinking
Yep, nights christmas day and boxing day too… won’t mind come January tho when pay day comes round
Might be, ive put in a holiday form but its always a last minute decision when it comes to christmas, sometimes you really have to nip their head to get a answer.
Its the only day i do an honest days work!!
Get up, cook full English!
Tell the over excited kids to shut up. (not really)
Wash up brekky stuff.
Peel spuds and cut those little crosses in loads of sprouts.
Stuff the bird.
Stuff the turkey!
Tidy up a small forest worth of crimbo paper.
Have a sherry…
Well you know how it is, probably finish just after dinner, from then on in its…RELAX!!!
Spend the evening moaning and ■■■■■■■ because as allways, eaten far too much.
Why do people cut crosses into brussels sprouts?
hiya,
Does anybody eat brussels sprouts, yuk.

Silly Question…
Ho Ho Ho…

cut crosses into the bottom of sprouts then leave in water overnight and they splay open.
i would never work xmas day or boxing day, i would always find somewhere to go friends ect…
Not me, I’m finishing on 21st Dec & starting back up again 11th Jan
Having said that, when the kids are grown up you can poke xmas, I’ll work & use the extra money to have a couple of weeks on a beach somewhere.
I would happily work Christmas Day or Boxing Day and have done in the past. Doesn’t bother me a bit. On the other hand, having worked both Hogmanay and Ne’er Day in the past, I would never again. Those are my days off. I try and make a point of taking the 2nd Jan (or the Monday after, if it falls on a weekend) off too.
I’m doing hee-haw at the minute, but I am “officially” off from the 26th - 5th.
i think this will be my 3rd xmas off in a row for years !, although i have said , keep the lorries loaded & if it’s a run out 'i’ll happily do it , wether is milking cows , or milk collection , or even distance delivery i’m quite happy to work after all , it’s just another day
