Working absurd hours and sleeping in 'a jail cell'

We’re not the only ones!

The longest break she would take in a 16-hour work day was two minutes, expected to slave over customers late into the night.

‘I usually started at 6am, and we would normally do 16-18 hour days - and I mean not sitting down for more than two minutes at a time, literally working the whole time.’

The rooms lived in by crew members were so small there was only enough floor-space for one person to change clothes at a time, she said.

Ms Meister said her shifts were also 12 to 16 hours long, and weekends were unheard of, she told Domain.

Another hostess, Katy McGregor, said she would be serving guests drinks until 3am, then get up only hours later to make them breakfast

Why should they quit? They should form a union and fight for better terms and conditions.

But the problem with super yacht hostesses is that they never stick together

Not like on the French Riviera [emoji23]

There’s the door…or whatever the boat equivalent would be

Wonder how that bag of spanners got such an easy job like that.

Poor snowflake, bit of hard work and they melt.

They all look happy enough in the pictures :open_mouth:

quote " Ms Brown says the worst part of her experience was getting swept up in a lavish lifestyle, earning thousands but also spending it. "

i wonder what they spent their money n when working 16-20 hours a day …total complete pish from the mail.

Was In Gibraltar a few years ago discharging a cargo when a massive charter superyacht ( my ship was 75 mtr long and that were bigger) ties up astern of us to take bunkers prior to crossing the Atlantic for the Caribbean so I took a wander up the quay to have a look and got talking to one of the crew, all the males were wearing ■■■■■■■■■■■ shorts and a sweatshirt and deck shoes, females wore short skirts and all had blonde hair !! (and were very nice too). Anyway I digress … the lad was telling me that the only time they got to be themselves were when between charters, at all other times they were at the beck and call of the guests and he meant 24/7 even though the money was good he couldn’t wait to leave but he was saving up to go to Harvard Uni. (he said !!) So I can well believe what they are saying, thought I had it bad enough but by them standards my number was as cushy as hell !! :open_mouth:

Looking at the title I thought it was yet another dayman’s take on tramping, and the ‘‘tin box’’ had now turned into a ‘‘jail cell’’ for added effect, while taking up our duty as an ‘‘unpaid securityman’’ :unamused:
