looking for work running england to spain.anyone got any ideas as to who i should call.i am based near castellon. have tried many spanish companies but all to no avail.

Sorry, but I can’t help you at all, I don’t know Spain very well.
This has come up a few times before, look back through this forum and you’ll eventually find the threads.
As far as I remember though, they all came to much the same conclusion. There isn’t much work over there for British drivers, you need to be in the right place at the right time. You also need to be pretty fluent in Spanish and be prepared to work the maximum hours (no R.T.D. over there (W.T.D. for drivers), well technically there is, but it hasn’t been implemented yet).

just an idea but if your based near castellon then have a run to simbas or upstairs downstairs any night of the week and see what firms are parked up there and get the phone numbers from the truck doors.

Good idea. Also check there at the weekends. You will presumably want to weekend at home sometimes. So the companies with trucks regularly weekended there will presumably be quite happy for you to weekend at home instead of at Simbas or Upstairs-Downstairs.
Don’t simply drive round the lorry parks though. Go in, introduce yourself and chat with the drivers. The people going down there regularly will know other drivers and companies, so might have ideas who else you could try, and people who might be planning on leaving a company, leaving a job open.
