What work boots do people have just out of interest?
Any builders merchants offer good ones, ankle high is best for more support.

When driving trucks it was always rigger boots, especially with steel and industrial items. Gave some shin and lower leg protection and can be pulled off easily without having to undo oily laces.
Nowadays rigger boots are looked down on, as they seldom fit into the profile of the corporate dressed ‘professional’ driver with their nice shiny shoes…

Depends what work you are doing. If your multi-dropping and/or clambering about a lot doing hands on stuff, then worth shelling out for a good quality pair otherwise you’ll be replacing them every 3/4 months which is false economy. DeWalt Challengers are good at around £75. If your trunking though or something, £25 Dunlop’s from Sports Direct will serve you well.
Sorry, Liberty_Guy, i’m not a rigger boot fan.
Dunlop I think mine are 26 quid from sports direct but when your a size 15 boot you just buy what you can
Bought some from Aldi for £10 about 5 months ago. Lasted well on tipper work but been on flour for 3 weeks and scuffing against pallets and the pumptruck etc has started to split them.

Not a lot out there for a size 15 eh! They don’t last long in the wood!
Some riggers on eBay for 30 but abit warm for summer
Ive got dealer boots by jcb give 50 quid in b&q for them lastung pretty well. Dewalt last well too
Bought myself a pair of Dickies lace ups from a retailer in Oldham, online, for £23 delivered.
That was cheaper than the Dickies own shop.

I have some German work boots can’t remember the name as I leave them in the truck , they look like storm troopers but they feel like carpet slippers they are the best footwear I’ve ever had, which is just as well because they cost £175!!! But they’ve lasted 3 years and show no sign of wear.if I could wear them everywhere I would they’re that comfortable! Stienz I think they’re called.
I`ve been through a fair few pairs in my time, generally get what you pay for but not always true… If you do a lot of standing around in puddles I can fully recommend a pair of “V12 waterproof” (google em…£50 ish), keep your feet dry all day and are semi breathable. Not ideal for hot weather as they tend to fill up with sweet, but perfect for winter.
Dickies - lasted for years - now De Walt, expensive (£95) but worth every penny, they are sooo comfortable.
Powerwear V12.
Just replaced them after over 3 years of hard work.
Old ones are still usable.
Bought the same again. Very impressed.
Leather so they can be polished up nice.
£60 from a LOCAL workwear shop for LOCAL work people.
Agree with the posts above V12 Powerwear I do a lot of low loader work and have worn riggers for years, but i got my first pair of V12 riggers and ive used them ever since. They give good support to your ankles and are strong and waterproof a bit dearer than some but they outlast any other brands ive had.
