WOOOO!!! Passed

*This is a very happy face  )
Took my second test today, 0830 chelmsford, and thank hell I passed. That was about an hour of sheer terror!! Surprisingly enough what messed me up last time was roundabouts, this time no problem. i did pick up a bunch of minors on moving off though, can anyone give me any advice on how to improve on that. the examiner didn’t really want to discuss it, all I could get out of him was ‘a bit jerky’. Apart from that a minor on approach speed (knew about that one when i got as was muttering to myself (easy stevey boy, your asking for trouble if you do that) and others. So licence off with DVLA, hopefully get a cheque written tonight and send off for my digi tacho card. then there’s a possible agency work in romford. and (thanks john) speak to co-op RDC thurrock as soon as my licence comes back.
Now onto arctics - seeing as arctics where the part of my training I was more concerned about, and my rigid training has been marred with messups, multiple instructors (is that normal) and me being an idiot and failing, despite the fact I wasn’t worried too much about it going in. Do y’all think my arctic training and test will go better, reverse murphys law maybe

Thanks all for the help and advice I’ve had so far, and again in advance for the next 40 odd years

Ste

Excellent, well done

IMO I found artics easier to drive and generally turning etc, reverse is the hardest part no doubt, but with training you will get it. Definitely try to understand the concept before getting into the training i.e. which way the trailer turns when turning the steering wheel right and left.

Get some practise through rigid work to build confidence, saying that many go starlight for the arctic and don’t have any problems

Congrats on passing

Congrats on the pass matey!

Well done mate

Well done on the pass   . Don’t dwell on what happened in the test, you know what you did wrong so improve on them when you get a job or do c+e :sunglasses:

Great feeling to pass though …enjoy!!!

Congrats on your pass Ste, i’m a 2nd timer as well, it’s a great feeling!
Good luck for C+E when it comes too

Congratulations!!

Well done!!
If I could do it again I’d defo do class 1 straight away don’t hang about the work is easier (normally) on artics and you’re gonna struggle getting work anyway but when I was looking for work as a class 2 driver they all said get your class 1 it opens more doors. The reverse is the git but with a good instructor you’ll be fine if you’ve got the cash get it done you won’t regret it

Well done mate  I went straight to artics after passing my class 2 and found it All still very fresh in my mind from class 2 , as said only biggest difference is reversing, after a couple of days though you will soon pick it up. And as was said in post above me artics are alot nicer to drive than those rigids and I enjoyed driving the artic alot more than the rigid when I was doing both my training.

Congratulations   i bet it was like this… ok now we have finished the test I am… happy to say … you passed             again congratulations well deserved
