I noticed on friday that due to the roadworks, several of the laybys on the woodhead are close between Vals cafe and mottram, so if your running that way just be careful if your running close to time and needing a break
Thanks for the tip, I’ll be going that way tomorrow and would probably have planned a stop there.
Been like that for a few weeks now theres traffic lights and roadworks so if you are using it make sure you have your break before going over as youll be queueing for a while.
Went over there westbound last week,and it wasn’t too bad.
Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said for the poor sods eastbound.The queue was from the traffic lights,back to Tintwistle.
