A warm sunny day, a clear road ahead and great views.
It’s days like this that make up for all the usual rubbish we have to put up with.

Should work now
That’s sorted it.
Nice video - the soundtrack makes it dreamy…
I love this part of the road network. As a night driver I tend to take this road on a nice clear moonlight night. and not a soul in sight.
Brilliant!
Thanks for sharing!
Like it. I have that album on my Zen too
A beautiful run which brought back many memories, that road hasn’t changed a bit. Must admit to a wry smile after such an idyllic journey when the video faded at the back of the inevitable queue at Tintwhistle traffic lights though.
Great video mate.
Only problem is I kept clicking the mouse button (taking me hazard awareness test Wednesday next week) force of habit
how many hazards was there then?
great video

Developing or potential?
Nice video, and you had a DAF too
I have not been that way for some time.
Liked that a lot. Do the Woodhead quite often it’s one of my favourite drives
A nice scenic route, pretty hairy on the high section in the wind, and normally a slow boring drag accross for me
Brilliant video and an interesting take on the music but I think I still prefer Pink Floyd’s version!
Really enjoyed watching that.Started using Woodhead in 1968 and was using it 5 nights a week in the 70s and 80s.Not changed a deal and nice to see the Dog and Partridge boozer is still open. There used to be a cafe just below called the Robin Hood but that’s long gone.
Had some dodgy nights out on “the Dog” (and some dodgy mornings getting back to it in Winter).
Ministry man used to sit in his car at Flouch doing silent checks. If he wasn’t there used to book off in Manchester,if he was used to book off at Stocksbridge.
Aye them were t’days.
Cheers for all the positive comments.
After a quick pit stop, a change to harder compound tyres and just a little more front wing, I tried again.
Swopped the CD. Thanks to Pete Townshend who 37 years ago composed some music of exactly the right length.
The uncut Lewis Hamilton view.
haha, that is funny,
let say you are on the limiter of 52mph - x5 would be about 250 mph…
Then that blasted knacked old white van that overtook you on the dual bit must have a nice big engine in the rear
That is class. Just out of curiosity what time did you go over as its not that quiet in the middle of the night. Use the woodhead most nights never seen it so clear on the road back to Manchester

Two o’clock on a Tuesday afternoon. Never usually that quiet!

You were lucky then. Normally quite a bit of traffic on the road by then. Good vid though. Just use the original pink floyd music sounds much better.
