Won tribunal but?

won a tribunal award the haulier was ordered to pay the sum awarded when it comes to paying instead of paying the full amount he started paying at fifty pounds a week sometimes missing a week then doubling up the following week .have phoned several times regarding this , thinking of paying sixty pounds to get the bailiff involved but he probably has all his trucks on hire and no tangiable assets the payment has been paid for the last year

Is the defendant allowed by law to pay you this way ?

How long will it take doing it this way to clear their debt ?

apparantley so he was also ordered to pay 8 percent interest every quarter but hasn’t yet

another couple of years yet some are up to 4 years there was a fair few that won by the way

Depends on what the Tribunal stipulated, payment in full or drip pay ,should imagine there was no stipulation on long it takes to pay up as long as its paid, so the Company is making you wait

If as you say there are a few others, as well as you who are being paid out compensation after winning an employment tribunal case, perhaps it would be wise to do your homework, to see if this haulier is actually capable of paying this money in one single paymeny in full to everyone, you may find that he actually can’t, hence the weekly payments.
By going in heavy handed to get paid out in full could force the company to go bust, then you would be left with nothing.
It is very easy to find out how good or bad a company stands financialy, companies house is a good start, and also company check.
Not all haulage companies have bank accounts stuffed with cash, DHL ltd does, to the tune of £32million, but there are plenty of small hauliers whos accounts have £0 in them at time of filing with the tax man.
