Women Truck Drivers?

Except it clearly isn’t. Seems women ‘truckers’ are just as good at the RDC waiting room economy with the truth as blokes are… 100mph in a mixer…

Would that be a gender blender!!

At that speed it’s sure to become a fender blender.

Yeah, I know. I’ll get my coat.

Oh bow down to the all knowing, never done it, don"t believe it cynics…I meant 100 MPH, wasn"t clever, just one of those stupid moments of youth…And if you would care to check out the specs on a 440 Scania on Scania UK site you"ll discover that an unlimited 440 Scania changes into 12th gear at 90MPH driven at full power…For the not so knowledgable of you, that means not driving in economy mode!!!

Maybe its not just me that needs to think before hitting submit!!!

Here"s the link, look at stats on page 4 scania.co.uk/Images/SL545127 … -76540.pdf

You are quoting the paper correctly, but I think that is should read KPH not MPH.

We have a 440 Scania at work that if not careful will easy do 100 KPM

I think you’re mistaken Santa.
In the diagram the speed scale is labelled MPH and the limited speed is marked at 56 mph.

Before limiters, trucks were easily capable of doing 70 - 100 mph. They were generally lower powered than modern trucks, so took a while to get there. Coming down the Beattock ski jump on the A74 we didn’t even bother checking our speed below 70mph. Steel springs all round made it an ‘interesting’ ride mind you

Deisel dog-polis wifey drives so big strong polis man can jump out and wrestle villain to the ground, meanwhile polis wifey fills out paperwork, simples

that definitely could be a reason,i cant exactly see them having much success doing it the other way round, but there definitely has to be a reason either officially or unofficially as to why the plod wifey is normally the driver…

Could it be she meant 100kph■■?

Makes more sense, noway mph!

Ha ha - a Scania is more than capable of 100 mph - one sticky nut and a sat nav in the windscreen to get an accurate speed reading and I can assure you a R620 is good for 115 MPH  :open_mouth:
