Wolfies WAI I:Solved (eventually) by Martin :)

OK where was I once?

dunno, but i wonder how many times that gate has been replaced

Hmmm looks like I’ve got them this time.

OK first clue. The roads around here should, according to the zone they are in, begin with 1 but they don’t.

OK well looks like I’ve slipped you a red herring as I’m wrong on the zone info apparently. The border between the 2 and 1 zone is in fact the Thames estuary and not the A2 as I assumed. So there you go our WAI is now clearly between the A2 and the Thames estuary (or the sea in general).

KOFF!!!

KOFF KOFF KOFF!!!

We’re in East Kent ffs

When I saw that pic last week I guessed it was somewhere near Manston, I’m sure I have been down that lane but I just cannot remember where. What looks like a radio mast in the distance could be Dunkirk (The Kent one!)

This ‘lane’ was an A road not so very long ago. Needless to say the gate wasn’t there then

Not Manston although if you carried on in this direction you’d get there after not that many miles.

Near Faversham?

(Trying to remember which roads were closed/diverted for the channel tunnel rail link :unamused: )

No mate sorry. Think of an A road between the A2 and the sea in East Kent thats been upgraded in say the last 10 years. Its an AXXX.

Heres another clue. A very long time ago I once ran out of diesel in this area and ended up in the car park of a pub. Called the High and Dry! :unamused:

High & Dry jogged my memory!

Its the old A256 Sandwich Road at Sutton, and I have parked there after tipping at the farm down the lane on the left!

Hurrahh!
