At least you rang in !
One of the Driver’s that work at our place didn’t even bother to ring in yesterday & we couldn’t get hold of him (kept going to answer phone) I ended up doing half of my work & all of his !!!
Can’t wait till tomorrow to find out where he was !
I find that sort of attitude in this day and age disrespectful and as low as you can go. Unless you have died, or been some kind of accident and are unconscious, to not get any form of message, be it text, voice mail, or email, to a colleague/manager, is honestly chuffing ridiculous. As it is reliable folk who have to pick up the pieces.
Agree with you m8,they dont deserve a job.

I’m really surprised at this drivers lack of communication, he’s usually very reliable, so I’ll withhold judgement until tomorrow, then he’s either Forgiven or Forgotten ! Lol.
Oh I don’t know. In Freddie’s Britain he would be given a full pardon too if he was severely incapacitated.
Or shot dead.
■■■■ them, your an agency driver its one of the perks
Pills now kicked in …, relief at last …agency called tonite to ask when I will be fit to work … and there I was worrying I would be out of work fkr phoning in a sickie … must be desperate
It’s not about how would you like it being called at that time. That’s life, it doesn’t work to schedules. They’re an employer, it’s part and parcel of employing humans. If you’re too Ill to work then too Ill, not talking a last minute cold of course. Sometimes timing doesn’t coincide with decent notice in the human machine. I got up for an early once at 4 am and fell over with severe dizziness. Made it to the shower then tried to get a coffee but couldn’t walk. Ended up hanging onto the floor and vomiting so rang in work. Was due to report in 30 mins. Was labrynthitus, came on then disappeared in 2 days.
Edit: was not alcohol induced
had gout 28yrs m8 and 3 operations get to your doctor he give you allopurinol 300mg tablets 1 a day with food u never get it again
