Witholding Payslips

Has anyone experienced this? My last two are being held until I sign for apparent infringements, according to other drivers this is common practice.

I can’t lay my hands on it but I’m sure this breaches employment legislation, I’m sure that there is a timescale to be given pay slips in relation to the day your paid, byt I can’t find anything at the moment

Ring ACAS. As far as i know payslips are provided as a way of proving your pay, and is a legal requirement. However, i may well be wrong, but was told by union that this is the case

There you are quite clearly states pay slips must be given to you on or before the date you are paid

Oh dear , “Muckaway” .
You do appear to have extreme difficulty with all of your employers .
Maybe ,…just maybe,…youll eventually find a job you enjoy ; a tipper that isnt crap ( your usual description,
not mine ) ; a fat pay packet for a few hourswork ; and a boss who is sympathetic towards your needs . Keep searching , lad, - before all theforeign influx` grab the last jobs.

Cheers , cattle wagon man.

I don’t recall ever having payslips withheld. But if i was an employer and an employee would not sign to say i had notified him of his working hours infringements then i’d tell him to go home until he did. I think they’re being soft on you.

In light of recent tragic events, no I’m not “kicking myself” (do a google search).
I miss the Fodens but then again come January I’m off driving Scanias

I often drive a scania 8 legger tipper on nights and I can confirm its not as exhilarating as many would have you believe!

It may be common but that doesn’t make it right, matey.
Have you been allowed to examine the evidence for these “infringements” and been allowed to mount a defence?
If it was me, I’d think that January can’t come too soon. And I’d probably be asking (with a jack handle in my hand) for a quiet “informal” interview with your superior. At least, he probably thinks he is.

Are you refusing to sign infringements ?

Why would you refuse? I know my infringements as I get them, it’s not too difficult to keep an eye on your hours. The way I see it is your signing to say you have been spoken to about it, not weather or not you agree with it.

Are you refusing to sign infringements ?

No but the sheet is at head office, and I’m not based there.
