Wismans dairy trafford park

dear all,

i have got an interview and assessment for Robert wisemans on Friday at Trafford park Manchester.

what are they like to work for? also how many drops a day do they do on class 2

cheers

I work at the Bridgwater dairy, decent enough company to work for, number of drops depends on which run you are doing. It could be anything between 10 and 20.

Ps, learn the proper, current name of the company before you go into the interview

do you mainly deliver to supermarkets, or is it a lot of corner shops?

Wisemans do our poundland shops some are a pain in the ■■■ to get into, talking to a driver in Sheffield he normally has 30 drops a day.

30 drops a day, that’s a bit of a joke that… I definitely wont be doing that, if they say that at the interview, don’t mind 15 to 20 max, but not 30

I did the class 2 work at Trafford park for a few years and never did anything near 30 drops. Much less ■■■■■ corner shops now than their were since Muller took over, the average is 12-16. Get one big drop and your down to about 10. It’s nothing to worry about.

I bet the artic work is an absolute doddle, and I’m sure they still get time and half and double time for weekends and bank holidays. Cages are only waist height so not to much heavy work either.

I mind there was a class 2 driver who did the Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy area and his dad followed him in the car and helped him out at customers. You may ask why? Well because this driver must have weighed the same as a small car, big fella is an understatement.

30 drops a day…■■? WTF■■?

I wouldn’t do 30 a week! :open_mouth:

Nice one, looking forward to the interview and the assessment, see I f I get the job.
Only passed me test in January so looking to get on somewhere decent.
Phenomenon said on the phone, how would you be if you got the job for starting at 2am, what the average hours a day they work there?

I worked for Wiseman 12 years ago now, think I had 12 drops around Stoke/Crewe area.the run was based on 9 and half hours with half hour break.obviously changed a lot since, started at 3am,downfall was you had to sort your load out first,

Last time I delivered milk I did 640 drops a day.Used to work 4hours a day.

But it was doorstep delivery in the seventies where you deliverd to virtually every house in the road, over wals and hedges I was very fit and very skinny.Used to be seven days a week. Then every six weeks you had a week off or you could work it for double money.

Used to get £500 Christmas tips and they weren’t taxed then, also hamper and turkey and they took the kids to pantomime. We also got BUPA free and free pension.

No employers like that these days .

has anyone ever had an interview with them?

what am I to expect?

cheers
