They will do though, after the fuel protests in 2000 the first thing the Labour government of the time did was ensure that if it happened again they could prosecute all those involved.

Don’t bank on it.
Some have come together to do this, but many are on better deals than them and have no intention of oding anything to jepordise what they have.
If they had truley stuck together in the past this would never have been happening

Farmers in Slovakia moaned about supermarkets pushing prices low for quite a while - did not help them, many of them gave up and sold cow herds to Russia 2yrs ago. Apparently, it’s cheaper to import milk from NL (perhaps something to do with govt export subsidies?). Last year similar thing around pork meat, it’s cheaper to import from Germany
And it is not only farmers, earlier this year, Jan-Feb time, Pepsi stopped supplying Tesco and shortly afterwards Danone and Ferrero stopped supplying Kaufland - SK, CZ, RO are the countries I know of.
