You can also Buy a wifi finder keyring from the likes of PCWorld, Maplin, Misco etc, which tells you when there is an access point nearby, or download free ‘war-driving’ software. it works and looks like a radar, constantly scanning for wifi hotspots, identifying speeds(a/b/g) etc and allowing you to drive closer to your chosen one for faster bandwidth.
