Winter returns to the north of Spain

Winter has returned with a vengeance to the north of Spain and even on Tenerife snow blocked the three roads to the Teide mountain for a time. The island remains on alert for heavy rains.
The storm is not forecast to relent in the north of the mainland until Thursday.
Asturias, Cantabria, PaÃs Vasco, Navarra and Castilla y León remain on alert this morning.
Today will be much cooler in the centre and south of the country, while in the north some areas will see no more than 5 degrees.
Sun will continue in the south of the mainland.
Strong northerly winds in many areas of the country.
