a shovel is definitely a useful thing to have in this weather, as is the ability to lower stabilising legs and lift the back wheels off the floor so you can dig out the snow/ice from underneath them. As is the ability to say “no” when you think doing a job is unsafe. There’s nothing worse than knocking down walls etc. because the truck has slid out of control when reversing up to a skip or the truck sliding all over the place when you’re lifting a loaded skip due to the weight transference.
