Windy hill a climb too far?

Another M62 fire. preview.tinyurl.com/y5vps2mv

Link doesn’t work but I’ve seen photos elsewhere.

Link itself doesn’t go through but if you copy and paste the URL the items comes up.

That’s one heck of bonfire.

Guess someone’s turbo got a bit too hot and sent the lot up. Glad I’m nowhere near the roads around there today.

Logo on the cab looks a little like Moy Park or Flo Gas, although don’t think the latter does those kinds of trailers. If the former, was wondering if a fridge had gone up esp with the hot temps outside.

Hopefully it gave the driver plenty of time to get the heck out of there.

Anyone know if its open now?

1815 tonight BBC travel reports that one lane past the scene is open.

Another DD catches fire, will need danger money to drag on of them soon…

Thank goodness you weren’t near it with your petrol tanker, unless of course you were running back empty after tipping at B&M…

It’s hot out…

There. I’ve had 4 different motors this week and all 4 were low on water. Every one of 'em needing over 5 litres.

Gonna put in for a pay rise seeing as I’m the ‘water top up line manager’ now.

Looks in mirror, gulp! Apologies in advance if I burn down the lovely town of Stoke with this one…then again.

Went passed westbound earlier and didn’t see any signs of cones, so guessing its been resurfaced now. Hope the poor lad / lass got a lift home. Wouldn’t want to hitch hike there in these storms.

Re water, if the unit runs like ours, it never cools down enough during the week to safely open the reservoir. One jumps out, another jumps in half the time, and don’t fancy getting burned. Btw, should it really drop by 5L if being serviced regularly?

It’s shut Monday to Friday next week both ways 24 to 22 on a night just to ■■■■ everyone off again :unamused:

Was it a Scania? They guilty of putting number 5 or 6 conrod through the block and shorting out on the starter cables. Conflagration guaranteed, plus many, many Trumptons. (You just hope they don’t get there too quickly)

I believe it was a DAF
And to annoy people more it was shut again tonight at J19 for another vehicle fire

Been with D&D for 23 years and that’s the first fire we have had, unless Biggriffin knows something we don’t !!!

I think when he refers to DD he means double decker and not the company you work for
