i have just got my new pc (after a 7 week wait) and it has a media centre thing. it mentions live tv but i cant seem to get this running. i have tried connecting directly to the tv aerial with broadband running but it still comes up with NO SIGNAL. i want to run the tv as it is with freeview but also the pc separately. does anyone know how i set this all up?

I take it you have plugged the for the aerial into the back of the pc.
Then into the socket on the wall connected to the aerial.
Then have you scanned for stations.
To use your pc and to watch tv as well you need to get a twin splitter plug to go in the wall socket so it will allow you to connect to coaxial cables to it.
Let me know how you get on i have this and it was easy to set up.

the pc was supplied with a splitter but for some bizarre reason, the in socket is male and the out sockets are both female. aerial is connected to the wall with the male end connected to the tv so using the splitter means finding my adapter female/female. i might pick one up tomorrow since i have a nice easy day and a very early finish
