Windows 98 Favorites

How the hell do you clear all the favorites out of my PC?

over the years i have added so many webpages as favourites and created ever so many new folders to store them all in. Im not sure how much space they take up, but I seem to be getting slower and slower

In the drop down list on your ‘favourites’ tab, just right click each one you want to remove and choose delete.

Thanks Rob :stuck_out_tongue: I was just hoping there might be a proper way to delete 1000’s of shortcuts. I suppose wiping the disc is the only answer than?

Right click on one and choose properties, then find out what folder they are all in (i couldnt tell you as im on XP) then just go to that folder, highlight the lot and right click and delete.

As above!!

Don’t go to the extreme of wiping (I assume you mean reformat) the HDD!! Look in Windows Explorer and find the Favourites Folder, highlight all the contents and click delete. Don’t delete the folder itself, just the contents!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

If you can’t browse to the Fav Folder, use the search option in Win Explorer. Sorry Mal, I can’t remember exactly where it is in 98!!

I tried to delete the contents. but it will not let me select them all. Never mind, I will use Rob K’s way,

I may be some time :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks folks

If you click on ‘Organize Folders’ You get an option to delete a folder.
